SECBE's mission is to improve the business performance of the built environment sector and to create market opportunities for sustainable economic growth.  Construction is a very large industry, employing over 300,000 and generating £18 billion per annum in the South East, and it has a significant impact on most other sectors.  SECBE provides strategic leadership for positive change and brings together organisations in a way that enables businesses to operate more effectively and profitably.

SECBE is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee - owned and driven by its business members. Its services fall into three broad categories:

Business Opportunities Services

 - Strategic Introductions to new markets and innovative solutions - regionally, nationally & globally

Business Improvement Services

 - Grounded programmes to help good businesses to get better

Strategic Projects

 - ‘Joined up' leadership for the sector and support  where we identify market failure
