Derek is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company. He has extensive experience and understanding of the issues affecting the built environment sector in the South East and has a wide network of contacts within industry and Government bodies

Trained in construction management, Derek gained his broader knowledge of the UK through his work with the Construction Industry Board, the national strategic forum for construction.

Tina has been with SECBE for over 10 years and plays a strategic role in the company’s business development.  As lead on marketing, she has an impressive track record of market and stakeholder engagement both in the UK and overseas.  Tina has managed and/or been pivotal to the successful delivery of a number of UK Government and European funded projects and is responsible for the Constructing Excellence Awards in London and the South East.

Tina’s career has been in corporate marketing and her experience includes FMCG and international property consultancy.

Julian is responsible for the smooth delivery of SECBE projects. From the initial proposal, through to scope development and resource management he ensures that SECBE delivers to its customers.

From a career starting in IBM, where he was a senior Operations Manager, through to companies in the Telco and Build sector, Julian has extensive Business and Operations experience gained at a variety of different companies. He also has an MBA.

Samantha Page is responsible for business development and marketing for CoTrain. She works with large and small companies in the construction sector and local authorities to help companies win more work whilst training and developing the next generation of skilled & talented workers in the South East.

Sam works with companies to understand their business needs and to identify the best opportunities for 3-12month placements that will give young people the experience required for their construction trade or technician apprenticeship programme. Samantha is passionate about delivering outstanding social value through collaborative action; she’s also passionate about music and is part of a community-led team of volunteers that produces the Basingstoke Live Festival.

Angela Torr is the Apprentice Manager responsible for delivering the Shared Apprenticeship Programme and contributing to the business development of CoTrain.

Working with the CoTrain team to support the apprentices to develop and maintain the skills and experience they need to fulfill their trade, site management and administration apprenticeships, as well as advising in the development of career opportunities post the apprenticeship.

 Angela has extensive experience in advising and supporting young people whilst in employment as well as into new employment opportunities. This includes developing relationships and liaising with a number of partners consisting of employers, colleges and other agencies to open up new opportunities and maintain existing relationships; essentially ensuring, the apprentices, employers and the scheme as a whole is well supported and a high quality programme is maintained.

Greg joined SECBE in 2016 to support various projects, including marketing communications. Greg’s advanced skills in analysis and vast knowledge of IT lead to the transition and current position of Systems Manager and has since become responsible for the secretariat of Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS) and involved with the production of the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards in London and the South East. 

He has previous experience within IT operations, construction renovation & maintenance, production installation and office management.

In his own time Greg has been studying for a degree in Psychology with ambitions to achieve accreditation within organisational psychology.

Claire Gould is responsible for delivering an integrated marketing and communications strategy for all SECBE business streams. She promotes SECBE by creating digital content for use on the SECBE websites, across social media platforms and through email communications to raise brand awareness and engage with target markets.

Claire also creates graphics in both digital and printed formats, having previously worked as a Creative Designer within the built environment industry and in the education sector.
