With health and safety their number one priority, Overbury invested in a mobile app which could be used to capture innovation as well as acceptable and unacceptable practices. They collaborated with management, construction staff and contractors to develop the OH&S Performance App, which gathers data against health and safety standards that can then be used to plan, manage, control and monitor to improve the companies approach to hazards and risks.
All staff have access to the app which captures information daily, helping to create a better collaboration between H&S staff and site teams. Standard report writing options are available for analysis and the app allows automatic notifications of observations through the use on projects which inform the supply chain in real time.
The OH&S Performance App has allowed Overbury to measure, manage, monitor and improve their OH&S performance as it has been effective and efficient in allowing them to take early action to address opportunities to improve performance.
