Integration and Collaborative Working
Type of client: Government
Type of work: Fit out
Project value: £500m
The Government Hubs Programme is the largest office transformation programme in the UK, at its core is a commitment to culture change within the civil service, to attract new talent and to encourage better ways of working.
Phase one is well underway and involves the fit out of more that 387,000m2 of new office space to create Government Hubs. The programme is being collectively delivered by a joint delivery team that brings together cross Government expertise with private sector partnerships, to collaborate and share knowledge. This single team approach to delivery, eliminates silo working and encourages collaboration across Government and the supply chain to deliver efficiencies.
‘Dragon’s Den’ style workshops held with Framework contractors and the supply chain provide an opportunity for large organisations and SMEs to have a voice, showcase products and embrace new technology. The first Government Hub was opened its doors in July 2017, on time and within budget with the second in Canary Wharf opening shortly afterwards. This phased delivery has enabled the migration of people from HMRC’s headquarters and user satisfaction surveys have achieved outstand results with all staff actively embracing the new working environment and Smart working.
The winner of the Integration and Collaborative Working Award will be announced at the ceremony and gala dinner on the 28th of June at the Royal Lancaster London. For more information about the event or to book ticket click here.
