| The Log Pile | The National Energy Foundation's Log Pile project, is a project that aims to promote and aid the use of wood as a source of renewable energy and sustainable heating. Although the funding for this project has now come to an end the database of wood fuel suppliers and pellet equipment suppliers is updated on a regular basis.
Since January 2007, the National Energy Foundation have been a project partner in a EC-funded project, PELLETS@LAS. The aim of the project is to collect prices and volumes of pellets traded and summarise these into average values and an index for each country across Europe. The overall aim of the project is to increase the number of manufacturers, suppliers and consumers of pellets across Europe. The project website is a very useful source of information on pellets, including European pellet quality standards.
