SECBE has developed this new web resource to assist construction companies to; make cost savings; improve resource efficiency and reduce impact on the environment. The following areas have been considered:
- Minimising construction waste
- Water recycling and systems
- Energy efficient design in buildings
- Use of renewable technologies
- Other aspects of sustainable construction
The portal has been designed as part of a European Intereg IIIc project that focuses on two areas of high economic growth, the South East of England and Andalucía in Spain. Working together, the two regions will be able to share existing and emerging sustainable construction methods, techniques, policies and activities - drawing out best practice in order to drive business across the regions.
