London and SE winners collect their Constructing Excellence Awards The Olympic Development Authority won two ‘golds' for their leadership of the 2012 Construction Programme in the London and South East Constructing Excellence Awards 2011. Other winning projects included Blackfriars Bridge and Station redevelopment, ‘RelishTM' Worthing Homes' sustainable social housing programme and a new kitchen and servery in the listed Queen's College, Oxford University. The awards are organised by the regional centre for Constructing Excellence, the South East Centre of the Built Environment (SECBE); and Chief Executive, Derek Rees, says that the themes of the awards generate real benefits to the sector and for individual companies: "This may be one of the toughest times in years for the built environment sector, but the fantastic number of entries we've had and their quality, speak for themselves. Constructing Excellence helps companies to deliver a better built environment and better value for customers. Now we'll look forward to the National finals on the 25th of November to see how many of our winners go on to take the top prizes." |
