Outstanding Customer Satisfaction

Project value: £65m

Construction product: 6 Schools across the Southwark borough

Morgan Sindall were appointed to construct and upgrade six schools for the London Borough of Southwark - creating over 1,155 new primary school places across the borough. The work was procured directly by the council through the iESE (Improvement and Efficiency South East) framework.

At the outset of each school project, the team collaborated with clients and stakeholders to produce a ‘Customer Charter’. This identified specific key objectives on each project that if delivered, would make the project a success.  In addition to monthly project progress meetings, the project teams arranged weekly site visits with the client team and school staff. As the projects neared completion it was possible to open these tours to the pupils and parents. Which proved popular and gave all stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions about the projects.

Morgan Sindall exceeded expectations and many of the schemes were delivered ahead of schedule to the delight of the schools who were all struggling for space. By working closely and collaboratively with the client they were able to identify where their expertise could add value to the overall project.

The winner of the Outstanding Customer Satisfaction award will be announced at the awards ceremony and gala dinner at the Royal Lancaster London on the 28th of June. For more information about the event or to book click here.
