Since starting his construction career in 1967, Bob has been Managing Director, Chief Executive and Chairman of leading construction companies, including Trafalgar House (UK Construction) and Ballast Wiltshire. In 2001 Bob formed his own consultancy, Novare, in 2002 he also became Chairman of Appleyards Consulting and he took on the additional Chairmanship of the South East Centre for the Built Environment (SECBE) when it was formed in April 2005.

He has also played key roles within the Major Contractors Group, Construction Confederation and was a recent President of the Chartered Institute of Building. With this substantial industry experience, Bob is excellently placed to chair SECBE, the South East England Development Agency's sector consortium, established to drive business performance improvement through the built environment industry in the South East.

Derek is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company. He has extensive experience and understanding of the issues affecting the built environment sector in the South East and has a wide network of contacts within industry and Government bodies

Trained in construction management, Derek gained his broader knowledge of the UK through his work with the Construction Industry Board, the national strategic forum for construction

Tina plays a strategic role in the company's business development. She is primarily responsible for SECBE's UK Construction - Building Libya Programme.  This offers an extremely bespoke service to built environment companies wanting to win work from Libyan clients. The programme manages the risk and shares the cost of business development and provides a platform for collaborations.  

Tina’s career has been in corporate marketing and her experience includes FMCG and property consultancy.

Julian is responsible for the smooth delivery of all SECBE projects. From the initial proposal, through to scope development, resource management and final delivery, he ensures that SECBE delivers to its customers.

From a career starting in IBM, where he was a senior Operations Manager, through to companies in the Telco and Build sector, Julian has extensive Business and Operations experience gained at a variety of different companies. He also has an MBA.
