In response to contractor feedback and upcoming legislative updates regarding fire integrity building products, Profab Access has designed a revolutionary adjustable frame system. The PRECISION Adjustable Frame enables construction professionals to achieve increased and sustained on-site productivity when installing riser doors throughout commercial and residential developments, in addition to successfully future-proofing the installation by achieving the highest possible standards of compliance and performance.
The new PRECISION Adjustable Frame is:

To support contractors in achieving increased rate of output, without compromising quality or performance, Profab Access knew it had an opportunity to streamline the installation process of its riser doors to significantly increase on-site efficiencies, whilst also meeting future legislative requirements regarding fire integrity.
Launched in October 2021, the PRECISISION Adjustable Frame offers an innovative approach to installing riser doors across a diverse range of commercial applications. It is the only adjustable frame to be independently bi-directionally fire tested and certified. As a result, the patented frame is supplied with a CERTIFIRE accreditation up to two hours in solid and flexible shaft walls. Supplied as standard with Profab Access’ INTEGRA 4000 FR Series Riser Doors, the product’s unique construction enables the frame to be fully self-adjusted to the full size of the structural opening, eradicating the need for additional variables, such as packers, during installation. Integral factory applied intumescent strips also remove the requirement for intumescent mastic bead application as a secondary operation on site.
Whilst reducing cost and time implications associated with installing these additional materials, the unique construction of the PRECISION Adjustable Frame also overcomes any potential gaps in compliance, by eliminating the reliance on the correct use of packer or thickness of intumescent mastic bead, which may pose a potential risk to the overall fire integrity of the construction.
