We catch up with former CoTrain Apprentice Amy Baber
Recently, CoTrain caught up with one of our former apprentices, Amy Baber. Amy completed her apprenticeship back in July 2017, where she trained as a Business Administrator, working with Willmott Dixon.
Since then, Amy has continues to progress in her career working for Willmott Dixon and is now a Social Impact Administrator. Part of her role requires her to train project assistants on how to use 'MyProjects' (an internal tool) to input the social impacts for the project. This information is collated and fed into the KPIs and local stories which are all reported to the Willmott Dixon Foundation and the Social Board report. This is part of the culture of the organisation and their view of “Being Human”.
Amy spends a lot of time onsite and at any one time covers and supports over 10 projects looking at the environmental impact by undertaking local audits, in addition to supporting career events, community days, trainee challenges and charity events such as the Cobham Challenge which raises money for their charity, Chestnut House.
As time has progressed Amy has been given more responsibility and continues to enjoy the variety of her role. CoTrain gave Amy the training and the opportunity to work with Willmott Dixon which helped her in her career by completing the Business Administration Apprenticeship.
We wish Amy all the best for the future as her career flourishes!
