CoTrain recognises and rewards outstanding performance with our Apprentice of the Month and new Community Giving Award

Community Giving Award - Hannah Goddard

Hannah Goddard and Julian CarterCoTrain is very pleased to announce the introduction of a new award to be presented to an apprentice who has demonstrated outstanding community spirit.

Called the Community Giving award, CoTrain is very pleased to announce that the first winner, and the inspiration behind the creation of the award is Hannah Goddard, an apprentice site manager working with Willmott Dixon.

Nominated by two fellow colleagues from the site office, Sarah Mills, Quantity Surveyor, and Charlotte Wallis, a Management Trainee, they wanted to recognise the efforts that Hannah had gone to, using her own initiative to start a food donation box onsite for a local charity called “Giving Back Crawley”. The charity helps to feed and support the local homeless and low income families in the area and at the same time is talking with other charities to see how the project could support others and look to leave a local project legacy.

CoTrain wanted to support the initiative as well, and at the presentation to Hannah also donated 4 bags of food and essentials to the project.

Congratulations, Hannah!

Apprentice of the month - Chris Waddell

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the January Apprentice of the Month is Chris Waddell, an apprentice site manager working with Wates on their schools projects in the Thames Valley.

Nominated by Mark Frampton, Project Director at Wates, who said that the work that Chris has done onsite, around the activities including biosite footfall monitoring, ensuring the Wates Stop/Go app use continues to improve and his continued growth and taking on new responsibilities ensures that Chris is a valued member of the project team. Chris was also responsible for the recent CLOCS audit as part of a CCS visit.

Congratulations, Chris!
